PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA DENGAN MODEL TREFFINGER DI KELAS VA SD NEGERI 08 SURAU GADANG

Abstrak

The purpose of this research is to improve the students activities in expressing idea, doing experiment, and cognitive learning result of fifth grade students at elementary school 08 Surau Gadang by using Model Treffinger. This research is a Class Action Research (CAR) which was implemented in two cycles. The subject of research is fifth grade students, and the member of subject was 23 students. The instruments used are observation sheets for teacher’s activities, students activities and sheet student activity observation test end of cycle I and II. The results showed that an increase in the activity of students in a guring opinion with an average percentage on cycle I namely 52.17% increase in cycle II became 80,43%, and the activity of the students in doing experiment with the average percentage of the cycle I namely 58.69% and in cycle II was 80,43%. Then the students average grade of test in cycle I namely 58.69 and in percentage of students who had grade 75 or above was 39.13%, and the students average grade  increase in cycle II became 78.91 and of students who had grade 75 or above was 78,26%. From this study, it was concluded that the students activity and learning results in learning IPA can be improved by using Treffinger's Model. Based on this study researchers suggest that teachers can use Treffinger's Model to enhance the students activity Treffinger's Model and learning outcomes.
