NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM NOVEL RANTAU 1 MUARA KARYA AHMAD FUADI
Abstrak
ABSTRACT
This study was aimed to describe the educational values of characters in the novel with the title Rantau 1 Muara written by Ahmad Fuadi. The theory that used to analyze the literature, was theory of Ahadiat (2007), theory of Nurgiyantoro (2010), and theory of Widjojoko and Hidayat (2006) and the use of character education theory advanced by Kurniawan (2013). Type of research is qualitative descriptive method by collecting, classifying, identifying, analyzing, interpreting the data, and conclude the data. Based on the result that in a novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi expert there are values such as character education : (1) religious as many as 11 data (2) honest as many as 4 data (3) tolerance as many as 1 data (4) hard work as many as 9 data, (5) creative as many as 7 data (6) standalone as many 1 data, (7) curiosity as many as 4 data, (8) national spirit as many as 1 data, (9) love of country as many as 1 data (10) appreciate the achievements as many as 3 data, (11) friendly as many as 4 data, (12) love reading as many as 5 data (13) social care as many as 7 data, (14) responsible as many as 2 data. The character value is ilustrated with a different background, in the country of Indonesia, America and Britan. In addition, the character of which is owned by Alif also motivated his homeland. He is come from a village Bayur, Maninjau, Sumatera Barat known people like to wander. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the value of the most dominant character used is the religious character and the character of hard work, while the value of the character that is not found in this study is a disciplined character, democratic, peace-loving, and caring environment.
