Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low activity and learning outcomes Civics fourth grade students of SDN 21 North Jati Padang. The purpose of this research is to improve the activity and learning outcomes Civics fourth grade students of SDN 21 North Jati Padang using models Kumon. This research is a class action (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. The data source is the fourth grade students of SDN 21 North Jati Padang numbered 19 people. The instruments used were observation sheet teacher activity, student activities, assessment of affective and cognitive assessment. Based on the results of cognitive assessment in the first cycle with the percentage of completeness cycle I 42.85% in cycle II reached 88.23%. Rate affective on the first cycle students' ability of cooperation with the percentage of completeness 77.75% and cycle II reached 80.35%. Assessment of student activity on aspects of answering questions in the first cycle with the percentage of completeness 71.05% and cycle II reached 91.23%. Meaningful indicators in this study succeeded in the implementation of learning by using the Kumon learning model is progressing well. Based on the results of this study concluded that in learning PKn through Kumon learning model can improve the activity and learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 21 North Jati Padang.
