Abstrak

ABSTRACT

The background of this research was by the use of vocabulary foreign language in the novel Asmara di Atas Haram by Zulkifli L. Muchdi, so it is considered as a deviation from the norm of the language used. The purpose of this study was to described the form and cause interference vocabulary of a foreign language in the novel Asmara di Atas Haram by Zulkifli L. Muchdi. The theory used in this research was stated by Leoni Abdul Chaer and Agustina (2010) as well as several other supporting theories, such as PWJ Nababan (1993), Chaerdar Alwasilah (1986), and Sumarsono and Partana Paina (2011) about interference. The type of this research was qualitative study using descriptive method by collecting, identifying, analyzing, interpreting data, and concluding data. The object of this study was a written language contained in the novel Asmara di Atas Haram by Zulkifli L. Muchdi. Based on the results of the research, discovered foreign languages such as English as many 170 data and Arabic as many 60 data in the novel Asmara di Atas Haram by Zulkifli L. Muchdi. Interference is found to be highly varied, but the most dominant is English. Based on the research results, we can conclude that the languages in Indonesia are open to the outside, especially vernacular English. This is evidenced by many elements use of foreign languages like Englsh and Arabic in the novel Asmara di Atas Haram by Zulkifli L. Muchdi.
