NILAI-NILAI BUDAYA DALAM NOVEL ORANG-ORANG BLANTI KARYA WISRAN HADI

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

This research purposed to describe culture values in Wisran Hadi’s Orang-orang Blanti novel that includes cultural values, such as (1) the nature of human life (2) the nature of human works(3) human nature with time (4) human nature with realm (5) the nature of human relationship, which are contained in Orang-orang Blanti novel. The theory used in this research is about the cultural values explained by Abdurrahman (2002). Type of this research is qualitative descriptive method as explained by Moleong (2010). The subject of this research, is a novel. Data collection is obtained by: (1) read and understand Orang-orang Blanti overall, (2) analyze all the data that have been classified in accordance with human nature, and (3) conclude overall analysis covering the cultural values in Wisran Hadi’s Orang-orang Blanti novel. Result of the research showed that in Wisran Hadi’s Orang-orang Blanti novel totally has 32 data, which include : 18 data of the nature of human life, 3 data of the nature of human works, 6 data of the nature of human works, 2 data of human nature with realm, and 3 data of the nature of human relationship. Thus, it can be concluded that this novel has cultural values that can open people’s eyes about the customs that has undergone many changes, cynical view of society and problems in the family. In addition, this novel taught  about life struggle and patience.
