The purpose of this cesearchwas to improve the students learning outcomes in reading on Indonesian Languange subject by using SQ3R strategi the fourth grade students of SDN 12 Sungai AurKabupatenPasaman Barat. The researcher used the fourth grade students as the sample. The total number of sample was 15 srudents. The theory used in this study was a leraning theory proposed by Hamalik (2014), SQ3R strategy proposed by Huda (2014), white the reading theory proposed by Tarigan (2008). This research was an action research. This research was concucted in two cycles, eacycle consisted of two meetings and a final test cycle. The instrument that the researcer used was quissionare of teachers activity, quissionare of students answer sheet. The result of the test showed the teachers activity were 72,5% at cycle I and raised about 87,5% at cycle II. indicated that where was an improvement to the students learning outcames in learning Indonesian Languange subject trhourght SQ3R strategy. Based on the learning of the students, the first cycle was obtained 46,67% completennes percentage with an average 70 increased on the cycle II became 86,67% with on average 86,47. The result of the study found that there was on improvement on the students learning outcames in the cycle I to the study found that there was on suggestion to the theachers to apply the SQ3R strategy in Indonesian Languange subject to improve students learning outcames in reading.
