PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAM QUIZ DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 3 PADANG

Abstrak

Abstract

Based on the observations that researcher have done in SMPN 3 Padang showed that the learning process centered teacher. This was seen when the teacher explains the subject matter and asks the students to ask about the material being studied, none of the them wanted to ask. As a result, student activity just passive listeners, they only pay attention to the teacher explainatio,  and working on the assignment of teachers given, occasionally teachers told students to ask questions but there was not response from the students. So that most of the students in the class VIII still under the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). To overcome these problems, the researcher applied learning models Quiz Team. This type of research is experimental study with a population students of eighth grade of SMPN 3 Padang, from five sample class, the researcher select VII.1 as  experiment class and VII.2 the control class. The data in this study is a learning activity data and the data of students' mathematics result learning. Learning activity data obtained from the observation sheet that consists of five aspects of student activity. From the results obtained, students learning activities for each meeting tends to be better than the previous one. Then data result of learning on sample class is obtained from the test. The test results were analyzed to test the hypothesis using  χ2  formula for two independent samples. From the analysis, obtained χ2 = 1,44 and db = 1 lies between 1/2 (0.20) < p < 1/2 (0.30) = 0.10 < p <0.15 means that  and  rejected.
