Abstrak

Abstract

One of the factors causing the low percentage of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics is the lack of motivation and involvement of the student in the learning process of mathematics . Lessons have been applied yet many teachers engage students and teachers only focus, as a result of student learning outcomes are unsatisfactory. To rectify the situation, the researchers tried to do research titled "Application of Active Learning Methods Accompanied Handout Team Quiz mode in Mathematics Learning Class X SMK N 1 Talamau West Pasaman".

This type of research is a kind of experimental research. Then was elected as class X BTnP1 experimental class and class X BTnP2 as the control class .

Based on the results of the final test data analysis of student learning, both classes of normally distributed and homogeneous samples . After processing the data obtained  = 2.22 and  = 1.684 confidence level of 95% , so >. Thus , the hypothesis is accepted that the results of students 'mathematics learning with the application of active learning methods along Handout Quiz Team type better than the results of students' mathematics learning with conventional learning in class X SMK N 1 Talamau West Pasaman .

Based on these results , researchers expect teachers of mathematics can apply the type of active learning methods along Handout Team Quiz as one alternative to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes .
