Abstrak

Abstract

Some factors that lead to low learning outcomes in studying math that occur in SMPN 2 X Koto Diatas especially the VII grade students are the learning process applied is teacher's central. This condition makes the students just copying and cheating each other when doing exercises. So, the teacher faces difficulty in monitoring students' achievement and comprehension. To solve the problem above, the researcher conducted a research entitled "Implementation of Cooperative Learning, Pair Checks type by Using Hand Out in Learning Math to the Seventh Grade Students of SMPN 2 X Koto Diatas”.

This research was an experimental research. The population of the research were the seventh grade students at SMP N 2 X Koto Diatas academic year 2015 /2016. Sampling was done by random sampling. Selected the students of VII 3 as experimental class and the students of VII 2 as the control class.

Based on the data of study above, obtained results of hypothesis testing by using t test. From the analysis results obtainedthitung=2,67 and ttabel =1,678, for thitung is higher than ttabel, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted at level of 95%.

Thus, the result of students' learning math who use cooperative learning, type Pair checks by using Hand Out was better than the results of students' math learning that using the usual learning at the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 X Koto Diatas.
