PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERBASIS KONTRUKTIVIS UNTUK SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 15 PADANG

Abstract

Student interest in learning mathematics on geometry with the material subject of cubes and blocks visible remains low, this material includes one of the topics in mathematics that is somewhat difficult to understand students. One cause of low student interest is that teachers are still using media less effective. Based on these problems purpose of this research is to produce media based constructivist mathematics valid, practical and effective in the material volume cubes and blocks for class VIII SMPN 15 Padang.This type of research is the development of research that consists of analysis of the products developed, developing initial products, and product trials. Product trials consist of two stages expert validation and small scale trial. Based on the results of expert validation, obtained a score of validity () is the practicality of 3,26 score () is 0,9 so the practicality percentage is 90 % and the average value of the results of tests mastery of the material (evaluation) was 88,3 so that the percentage of effectiveness 88,30 %, so it can be concluded that the result of the development of instructional media for the SMP class VIII on the material cubes and blocks produced are valid, practical and effective.
