NILAI-NILAI PARTIOTISME DALAM NOVEL LINGKAR TANAH LINGKAR AIR KARYA AHMAD TOHARI

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

The purpose ofthis research wasto describe the patriotism values in Lingkar Tanah Lingkar Air novel by Ahmad Tohari. The theory that is used in this research was about patriotism theory stated by Aim (2006). This research used qualitative and descriptive methods which are explained by Mooing (2010). The technic of collecting the data is done by read and signed every sentence that contain of patriotism values. The next step is classified them into a table. Then the data were analyzed by examining the data and correlate it with the theory. Based on the data analysis it was find that 35 patriotism values data, which consists of : (1) Love of the country values about 11 data, (2) willing to sacrifice for the nation 18 of data, (3) put the prominence of the nation above the prominences of personal and groups  about 1 the data, and (4) Don’t easy to give up about 5 data. The characters in this novel have patriotism values, they fight for the independence of the Republic of Indonesia and joined with the army but they were confront because some of the army aren’t Muslims. Then they made a new group with the same purpose that is fighting for the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. The most dominant patriotism values were love for Indonesia and willing to fight for the nation. These can be seen at character Amid and friends who is fighting and defend the independence of Republic of Indonesia as their obligation of their faith.
