Abstrak

The aim of research to determine the relationship of emotional intelligence and interest in learning for learning outcomes on the subjects of information and communication technology class VII SMPN 34 Padang. This study was descriptive correlational. The study population numbered 249 people and a sample of 27 students of class VII5 SMPN 34 Padang. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. By doing normality test, homogeneity, and the average similarity with significance level> 0.05. Learning outcomes data obtained from the test results that have been studied by researchers for VII5 class ICT subjects. This data is the comparison of the results of student learning in the subjects of ICT. The results of the analysis of the relationship of emotional intelligence and interest in learning to student learning outcomes, can be seen from the average kooefisien correlation of 0.60, so a positive influence on learning outcomes. And contributes 36% to the relationship of emotional intelligence and interest in learning on learning outcomes.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Learning Outcomes, Descriptive Correlational.
