This research in the wake of the low learning outcomes Civics students in class V SDN 22 IV Koto Aur Malintang. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in class V student's ability to understand the material and an increase in responsibility and discipline in learning civics through a pair models check in SDN 22 IV Koto Aur Malintang. The subjects were fifth grade students of State Elementary School 22 IV Koto Aur Malintang. Total Sabjek Research 24 Students. PTK type of research is done in two cycles. Research instruments used were observation sheet teacher activity, cognitive assessment, assessment of affective domain. Based on the results of the study in the first cycle and IIdapat known to increase student learning outcomes. The ability of students to understand the learning material in the first cycle with the average value is 64.17 percentage gain completeness 33% increased to 82.5 by the percentage of completeness 87.50% in cycle II. Rate affective students in the first cycle average of 71 by the percentage of completeness 54% increase to 90 to 88% the percentage of completeness. This means the target indicators of success in research is successful and the implementation of learning with models Pair checks went well. Based on the results of the assessment it can be concluded that in learning civics through the model can improve the checks Pair Student Results Class V SDN 22 IV Koto Aur Malintang. Therefore, it is suggested that the teacher can apply the model Pair checks well in teaching civics in different materials.
