Abstrak

The purpose of this research is to produce modules based biology Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) include mind mapping of the human circulatory system materials grade VIII SMP 2 Padang valid and practical. Development of modules use three stages of 4-D Model, definition, design and development. Modules were developed validated a lecturer of Biology Education Information Technology Education Bung Hatta University and the respondent validity and practicalities of teaching science teachers and 54 students of class VIII SMP Pertiwi 2 Padang. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires questionnaire validity and practicalities. Based on research conducted, resulting CTL-based biology module is equipped with a mind map validity of 95.55% with a very valid criteria, the practicalities of CTL-based biology modules include a mind map of a teacher at 92.77% and 90.12% practicalities of students with criteria very practical. From the research it can be concluded that the CTL based modules include mind map is very practical and valid. Teachers and students can use the CTL-based biology modules include a mind map in learning biology in the human circulatory system materials.
