PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN MELALUI MODEL WORD SQUARE DI SDN 21 KAPUH PESISIR SELATAN
Abstrak
This research is motivated lack of student activity in learning Citizenship Education fourth grade students at SDN 21 Kapuh, South Coastal District. This can be seen in the learning process takes place, the low activity of students in listening to the presentation materials, low activity of students ask and answer questions both verbally and in writing, and low activity of students in doing the exercises and make conclusions. At the time of the learning process less teachers use varied strategies and instructional media. It is also an impact on the outcome of the midterm 1 2014/2015 academic year are still low.The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in activity in the fourth grade students working practice, and make conclusions on Citizenship Education learning model through the Word Square in SDN 21 Kapuh. This research is a classroom action research is done collaboratively.This research was conducted in two cycles. The research instrument used in this study is the observation of student activity sheets, sheet obsrvasi teacher activity, and the ultimate test cycle.The results showed that an increase in the activity of the students do exercises from 58.82% to 76.47%, and there has been increased activity students make inferences from 47.05% to 73.53%.It can be concluded that the Civics teaching fourth grade at SDN 21 Kapuh on the activity of the students do exercises has increased 17.65%, and the activity of the students make inferences increased 26.48%.The use of the model Word Square in teaching civics class IV in SDN 21 Kapuh can improve students' learning activities.
