PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA SEKILAS SISWA KELAS IV MELALUI STRATEGI PQ4R DI SDN 18 NAN SABARIS KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN

Abstrak

Based on the observation result that the researcher conducted at fouth grade ofNan Sabaris elementary school number 18 Padang Periaman.regency on Indonesian lenguage that students faced some difficulties in understanding a text.Soin the process of reading.most student forgot fastly from the text the hampered the process of flash reading skill. The pourpose of this research was to descrite the improvement of flash reading skill. of fourth grade students by using PQ4R strategy at Nan Sabaris elementary school number 18, PadangPariaman regency. This was a kind of classroom management research( PTK). The subject of this research was studentsat fouth grade of Nan Sabaris elementary school number 18, padang pariaman regency, 12 students. The instrument used in this research were teacher activity sheet and evaluation sheet of flash reading. It can be concluded from the result that the ability of flash reading by using PQ4R Strategy toat fouth grade of Nan Sabaris elementary school number 18 students, the was an improvement. First cycle 41.67 % became 83.3 % at the second cycle. From this research,it was concluded that PQ4R Strategy could increase flash reading skill to students at fouth gradeof Nan Sabaris number 18. It is suggested to teacher to use this strategy in order to improve flash reading skill at fouth gradeof Nan Sabaris elementary shool number 18, padang pariaman regency.
