This research is motivated from West Pasaman KPU recapitulation shows voter turnout amounted to 48.50% and that no voting or abstention amounted to 51.50%. Based on observations with the people residing in Sumber Agung subdistrict Kinali are still many people who do not participate in the election of the Regent in 2015 one of them caused by the economic level different. This study aims to look at the effect of socioeconomic status on the level of political participation at the Election of Regent / Vice Regent in West Pasaman 2015. This type of research is the analysis of determination and correlation analysis. The instrument used is observation, questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study indicate that there are significant levels of socioeconomic status to political participation and Correlation with the criteria is low.
