NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER TOKOH UTAMA DALAM NOVEL MENDAYUNG IMPIAN KARYAREYHAN M. ABDURROHMAN
Abstrak
ABSTRACT
The aim of this research was to describe the values of the educational character of the main character in “MendayungImpian” Novel by Reyhan M. Abdurrohman. Theory used in this research is about the literature with presented by Ahadiat (2007), Atmazaki (2007), Nurgiyantoro (2010), WidjokodanHidayat (2006), and the use of character education theory advanced by Kurniawan (2013). The type of this research was qualitative and descriptive method by collecting, classifying, identifying, analyzing, interpreting, and collecting the data. The result of this research it was find that educational character values are : (1) Social care, can be seen from Vano helped those who do not attend the school (2) Likes reading, can be seen from Vano find the specific book and make Vano wants to read (3) Friendly/Communicative can be seen fromaVanoresponsed the student’s question and made the students enjoy to study with him (4) curiosity in the form of Vano curious about the background of the child who he gave a book (5) Creative as Vano find a unique idea and get a good respons from the students (6) independently as he being firmly to stated that he teach by using his own idea (Likes reading in the form of find the specific book and make Vano wants to read (7) Democratic can be seen from Vano who has an idea that his students have a chance to fight (8) work hard can be seen from Vano try to get money by his own self (9) Appreciate, can be seen from Vano who appreciate every little achievement that he got (10) Religious in the form of he remind Zali to always be thankful for everything. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that the most dominant used of the value of character education is Vano is the most care people.
