Abstract

 

The research objective was to describe the increase in the speaking skills of fourth grade students of SDN 18 Lubuk Alung on learning Indonesian by using a model of articulation. The theory of the referenced views expressed by Tarin (2008), a model articulation using Arief opinion Munaf (2003), and to learn the results of students' speaking skills using Sudjana opinion (2011). This type of research is classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 18 Lubuk Alung, totaling 23 people. Instrument used in this study is the observation sheet activities of teachers, teacher observation sheet learning activities, students 'affective observation sheet, sheet student learning outcomes and value learning outcomes students' skills in speaking. Based on the results of the study, the average speaking skills of students in the first cycle is 43.27 increased to 80.28 in the second cycle. With increasing students' speaking skills in learning Indonesian impact on the value end of the cycle with an average of 56 in the first cycle, increased to 76 in the second cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that the students' skills in speaking on learning Indonesian by using a model articulation can be increased.
