IDIOM DALAM BAHASA BATAK ANGKOLA BAGI MASYARAKAT TAPANULI DI KOTA PADANG

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to describe the condition of the sentence semantics, in terms of aspects: unity, cohesion, parallels, meaning accuracy, frugality, and the logic that proposed by Manaf. The theory used to express language semantics is a branch of science that specifically discusses the relationship Indonesian meanings of the various units proposed by Manaf (2008). This research is a qualitative descriptive method, suggested by Moleong (2010). The object of this study is to discuss the meaning of the idiom in the community of South Tapanuli: Based on data analysis can be concluded that the terms of meaning idiom can be viewed from six aspects: (1) unity, (2) cohesion, (3) the parallels, (4) accuracy, (5 ) frugality and (6) the logic. Data found as many as 66. The mistake most commonly found in logically aspect is due cause or influence of foreign languages English and local languages. In its development, the Indonesian language can not be separated from the influence of other languages, regional languages or foreign languages. The influence of one side can enrich Indonesian, but on the other hand can also interfere with the norms of Indonesian causing the ineffectiveness of the sentence. Then an error from the aspect of cohesion, the parallels aspects of error, meaning the accuracy aspects, and aspects of language frugality.
