Abstrak

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the learning outcome poetry reading through the model of Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) fifth grade students in learning Indonesian. The opinions referenced are the opinions Hamalik (2015), a model of Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) submitted opinions Shoimin (2014), opinion referable to read the opinion Dalman (2014) and Tarigan (2008),kind of research is a classroom action research put forward opinions Arikunto (2008). This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. This study is a fifth grade elementary school students Negri 15 Padang Sarai, amounting to 22 people. The research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet student activities, teacher activity observation sheet, test students' ability to read poetry, and test student learning outcomes. The results obtained have been an increase in the average percentage of activity the teachers in the first cycle of 60% and the second cycle there was an increase of 77.5%. The results of the students read poetry obtained an increase in the first cycle and cycle II 59.09 77.27. For student learning outcomes the results obtained in the first cycle and the second cycle into 71.36 83.18. Based on these results, we can conclude that there is increased activity of the teacher, the reading of poetry students and student learning outcomes in primary school class V Negri 15 Tangah Koto Padang Sarai.
