Abstract

 

 Background of the research is the results of students Mathematics studying is low. There are several factors that lead to low results of students' mathematics learning, including motivation and student activity is still lacking in teaching mathematics and students are less able to answer practice questions that varied from teacher. Tosolvethis problem,oneoftheattempts thatcanbedoneisModelof Team Assisted Individualization CooperativeLearningTypeinMathematicsLearning.Thegoalofthis researchisto knowwhetherResultofMathematicsStudyingwhen applytheModelof Team Assisted Individualization CooperativeLearningTypein MathematicsLearningisbetterthantheusual Learning in class VIII SMPN 12 Padang. The hypothesis in this study is the result of students 'mathematics learning by applying cooperative learning model Team Assisted Individualization better than the results of students' mathematics learning by applying classroom learning at SMPN 12 Padang. Thetypeof thisresearch isexperimentalresearchwiththepopulation of class VIII SMPN 12 Padang.The samples in this study were students of class of class VIII.3 and the number of students 34 people as an experimental class and students of class VIII.2 and the number of students 34 people as a control class.To test the hypothesis used t-test. From the calculation, t = 1.92 and thitung  = 1,92 dan t(0,95;66) = 1,67for thitung>t(0,95;66)then the hypothesis is rejected. It concluded that students 'mathematics learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model Team Assisted Individualization better than the results of students' mathematics learning by applying the usual learning.
