PENERAPAN COOPERATIVE LEARNING TIPE TWO STAY TWO STRAY PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMP KARTIKA 1-7 PADANG

Abstract
This research is motivated by the results of student learning under KKM, lack of confidence and learning activities are still dominated by high-ability students. The alternative that can be implemented is Cooperative Learning Two Stay Two Stray Type. The hypothesis of students’s result by using this alternative is better than usual in class VII SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang. The problems of research are whether the results of students' mathematics learning by applying Cooperative Learning Two Stay Two Stray Type is better than implementing regular teaching students of class VII SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang ?. The purpose of this study was to determine students' mathematics learning outcomes after applying Cooperative Learning Two Stay Two Stray type is better than a result of learning mathematics using the usual learning in class VII SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang. This type of research is experimental study with the students population of class VII 1- 7 Kartika Padang. The samples in this study were students of class VII. 4 and the number of students 27 people as an experimental class and students of class VII. 2 and the number of students 26 people as a control group. Based on the analysis of learning outcomes data were normally distributed sample class and has a homogeneous variance, then to test the hypothesis was used test and obtained t_hitung = 4.4218 and t_tabel = 1.67 at 95% confidence level, so t_hitung> t_tabel. Thus H_1 hypothesis is accepted, that means mathematics learning of students that used Cooperative Learning Two Stay Two Stray Type is better than implementing regular learning. Therefore, the researcher suggested that mathematics teachers should apply this alternative that mentioned as Cooperative Learning Two Stay Two Stray Type as one alternative to improve student learning outcomes.
