This research is background by the results of students' mathematics learning still under the kriteria ketuntasan minimum. The research to know the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics is learning to apply learning techniques Spotlight accompanied with Call Card is higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics with regular learning in class VIII SMP Kartika 1-6 Padang academic year 2015 / 2016. samples taken randomly technique, the selected class is a class VIII_4 as an experimental class and class VIII_3 as the control class. Statistical tests were used to test the hypothesis is a non-parametric test. Hypothesis test results obtained χ ^ 2 = 1.81 and db = 1 obtained therefore p <0.05 means H_o rejected and H1 accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics is learning to apply learning techniques Spotlight accompanied with call Cards are higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics by using teaching regular students of class VIII SMP Kartika 1-6 Padang in the academic year 2015 / 2016.
