Abstrak

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of the activity of class VIII student of SMPN 29 Padang when applied learning models Student Facilitator and Explaining compared to learning the usual, and knowing the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics is learning to apply the learning model Student Facilitator and Expalining more higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics is learning to apply the usual learning. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMPN 29 Padang in the academic year 2016/2017. The sample in this research is class VIII.2 many as 32 people as a control group and VIII.3 of 31 people as a class experiment. Activities of mathematics learning experimental class is higher than of student learning activities in class quiz control and data obtained from the provision of early learning in every quiz. The percentage of students on the mastery quiz experimental class tend to be higher than the control class. While the results of the second study after class study sample hypothesis test obtained by = 4.57 and db = 1 to 0.01 <p <0.025. Therefore p <0.05 means rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics pembelajarannnya using model Explaining Student Facilitator and higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics learning teaching methods usual.
