Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in the activity of asking, answering questions, discussing and understanding the cognitive learning aspects (C2) IPA students after using the method of demonstration SDN 38 Cumateh, Kec. Koto XI TarusanKab. Pesisir Selatan. This research is a classroom action research conducted collaboratively and participants. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be seen that the results of the analysis of student activity observation sheet obtained an average percentage of students questioned in the first cycle was 52.50%, while in the second cycle the average percentage obtained 75.00%. The average percentage of students answering the question in the first cycle was 45.00%, while in the second cycle the average obtained 62.50%. The percentage of students discuss the first cycle was 57.50%, while in the second cycle the average obtained 82.50%. The average of activity the teachers in the first cycle was 67.86%, while in the second cycle is 78.57%. Percentage of mastery learning in the first cycle was 40.00% with an average value of 60.5 while the percentage of mastery learning on the second cycle was 95% with an average value of 88.0. From the results obtained it can be concluded that learning science through demonstrations learning methods can enhance the activity and student learning outcomes fourth grade 38 CumatehKec. Koto XI TarusanKab. Pesisir Selatan. Researchers suggest the use of learning methods demonstrations should take into account teachers and studentsefesiens time the storm.
