This classroom action research is motivated by the poor performance of students in mathematics. The purpose of this study to describe the learning outcome Math of fourth grade students through the Kumon method in SD Negeri 03 Ikur Koto Kecamatan Koto Tangah Padang. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects were students of class IV totaling 27 people. The instrument of this study is the observation sheet and the teacher activity sheet cognitive assessment of student learning outcomes. The percentage of fourth grade students' learning outcomes in mathematics increased from the first cycle of 59.26% increase to 81.48% in the second cycle through the Kumon method in SD Negeri 03 Ikur Koto Kecamatan Koto Tangah Padang. This means the target indicators in this study successfully and implementation of the Kumon method of learning by progressing well. Based on this assessment, it can be concluded that by using the Kumon method can improve outcomes for students at SDN 03 Ikur Koto Kecamatan Koto Tangah. Researchers suggested that teachers can use with either Kumon method for improving student learning outcomes in learning Mathematics.
