KATA SAPAAN BAHASA MENTAWAI DI DUSUN TIOP KECAMATAN SIBERUT BARAT DAYA KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN MENTAWAI

Abstrak

The purpose of this research is to describe the froms of greeting words uttered by the Tiop orchard society in southwest siberut subdistrict- Mentawai District. The aspects that can be analyzed by the researcher is The Core Kinship Greeting Words and The Widely Greeting words. In ding this research needs a theory that found by Syafyahya (2000). This research is a qualitative research by using a descriptive method. The object of this research is greeting words uttered by the Tiop Orchard Siciety in Southwest Siberut Subdistrict-Mentawai District. The informant number that used by researcher is six persons that consist of threeman informants and three woman informants. After doing this research, actually there are thirty seven greeting words, they are ten core khinship greeting words and twenty seven widely greeting words. The Ten Core Kinship Greeting Words are ama, mae, ina, ena, simanteu, puama, punuina, sinanalep, toga, sibeiya, simanteu satoga, rogai, okkok, bagi, teikebbuk, and maniu. The greeting words that still used in nowadays, for example, bapak, mamak, nak, bang, ang dek. The twenty seven widely greeting words consists of teteu, teteu sikebbukat, gaek, ukkui, bajak, kalabai, meinan, ina, buaik, taibubua, gaek, sinanalep, and maniu. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the Tiop Orchard Society still uses the Greeting Word Which not changing till nowadays.
