Nilai Estetika Hikayat “Khabar Mati” Yang Berkembang di Masyarakat Simpang Kapuak Kecamatan Mungka Kabupaten 50 Kota

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to describe the aesthetic values based on the element of unity, harmony, balance, simetry, and opposition in hikayat Khabar Mati that developed in Simpang Kapuak Society, Kecamatan Mungka, Kabupaten 50 Kota. The theory is used to analyze the aesthetic value of the hikayat Khabar Mati are a theory of oral literature and hikayat proposed by Emies and Sharif (Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia, 2006) and Nurizzati (1994), the theory of aesthetics proposed by Atmazaki (2007) and Ratna (2007). The research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. The object of this research is a old prose hikayat at Kenagarian Simpang Kapuak, Kecamatan Mungka, Kabupaten 50 Kota.The Focus of hikayat is aesthetic values based on the element of unity, harmony, balance, simetry, and opposition. The technique to collect the data are: (1) to translate raw materials of hikayat in Minangkabau language that has tittle Khabar Mati into Indonesia language, (2) inventory make a note for hikayat data that contain the element of unity, harmony, balance, simetry, and opposision, (3) to agglomerate aesthetic values that has found on hikayat. The technique in analyzing the data are (1) to interpret the aesthetic values that exist in the hikayat, (2) describe the aesthetic values in the hikayat, and (3) draw conclusions. Based on the analysis of data found the aesthetic values of the hikayat Khabar Mati as follow: firstly, there are 77 data about the element of unity as nan manjago said that a unitary form of the word angel of death. Secondly, there are 73 data about harmony, like a sentence pado Ibrahim mouk bakato, wahai Ibrahim saudara ambo, occurred because of interaction reasonable harmony and similarity of views between the first array to the second array. Third, there are 70 data about the balance, such as the array nan cilako mandonga hatinyo godang, tambahan guru sudah mambilang, hiduik ka dipakai mati ka ditumpang, inilah dayo sudahlah datang is the word in the second line there is a word that confirms the first array. Fourth, there are 73 data of symetry namely precision of comparison between poetry and the number of syllables in the couplet by couplet which has nearly the same amount. Fourth, there are 12 data about a opposition like siang and malam in a sentence siang bagolak malam bagurau. The analysis showed that the element of unity is more dominant than the other elements. Based on the results of this study concluded that the hikayat Khabar Mati contain elements of aesthetic values.
