This research is motivated by the results of students' mathematics learning is still low. The study aims to compare whether the learning outcomes of students learning math using reciprocal learning approach better teaching of mathematics learning outcomes of students who use the regular learning in class VII SMPN 27 Padang. The sampling technique drawn randomly selected class is a class VII1 as an experimental class and class VII2 as the control class. Statistical tests were used to test the hypothesis is chi squared test. Hypothesis test results obtained = 0.7607 while = 1.672 for < H0 then the hypothesis is rejected, then accepted hypothesis is the hypothesis H1. Thus, it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students whose learning approach better than Reciprocal Teaching mathematics learning outcomes of students learning to apply the usual learning in class VII SMPN 27 Padang.
