The low result of mathematics learning Class VII SMP Negeri 9 Pariaman, caused by several factors, including: the role of teachers is more dominant than the students, the students are not accustomed to expressing their opinions and ask in learning. Therefore, one method of learning that can be used to overcome these problems is a method of Buzz Group. This study aims to determine the activities and learning outcomes of students learning mathematics applying Buzz Group better method of learning outcomes of students learning math using the usual learning in class VII SMP Negeri 9 Pariaman. This type of research is experimental. The population in this study were students of class VII SMP Negeri 9 Pariaman in the academic year 2016/2017 as much as two homogeneous classes. The sample in this research is class student VII1 as control class and the VII2 class as a class experiment. Data obtained from the learning activity observation sheet, consisting of four indicators of student activity was observed in the application of Method Buzz Group. The results obtained by their tendency to increase students' learning activities. While the students' mathematics learning outcome data obtained by giving a test on a second sample class. To test the hypothesis used t-test at the level of α = 0.05. From the data calculation results obtained  = 1.935 and  = 1.6735 at the level of α = 0.05 as obtained >  the research hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students learning mathematics applying Buzz Group better method of learning outcomes of students learning math using the usual learning in class VII SMP Negeri 9 Pariaman.
