NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER TOKOH UTAMA NOVEL KETIKA MAS GAGAH PERGI KARYA HELVY TIANA ROSA
Abstrak
ABSTRACT
The aim of this research was to describe the main character of education value in novelKetika Mas GagahPergi by HelvyTiana Rosa. Theory that used in this research are theory about fiction told by Hasanuddin WS (1992) and Nurgiantoro (2010), theory about education of character told by Hasan (2010), and Samani and of Hariyanto MS (2014). This research is qualitative with descriptive method. The object of this research is novel Ketika Mas GagahPergi by HelvyTiana Rosa. Technique of collecting the data used is tabulation data. Technique of analysing the data in this research as follows: (1) grouped the data based on the focus of the research, that is structure of novel, such as plot, characteristics, and background in values of character education; (2) described the value in the plot, character and the background of the novel; (3) decided the conclusion. Based on the data analysis it was found that character value on the main character as follows: (1) Mas Gagah was religious because their character changes become religious and better, (2) Mas Gagah was tolerance because he could accept the others opinion, (3) Dini was hard worker because she always did something seriously, (4) Dini was creative because she got something useful by her own way, (5) Gita was dependent because she had characteristics that didn’t want to suspended by the other people, (6) Mas Gagah was democratic because the way of his attitude and the act took on a good responsibility, (7) Gita was feeling curiosity because she asked something that she didn’t know, (8) Abdullah was nation spirit because he was proud using product of Indonesia, (9) Gita was appreciate because she produced something useful, (10) Dini was friendly because she had many friends to communicate, (11) Mas Gagah was peaceful because he wanted to be peaceful, (12) Mas Gagah was care of environment because he helped preserve the environment, (13) Abdullah was care of social because he always counseled other peoples. Based on analysis of the data, it can be concluded that the main character, changed become more better, religious and serious in learning Moeslem religious. This changing also gave the effect of social caring. As a result, character of social caring was the most dominant in novelKetika Mas GagahPergiHelvyTiana Rosa.
