RELATIONS Muscle Explosive Power and AgilityRunning Speedof 100 Meters in Student Son Class VIII SMP N 9 PADANG (Correlational Studies Students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang)
Abstrak
This study originated from the observation that the author encountered in the field, is suspected of leg muscle explosive power and agility give the relationship with the running speed of 100 meters on a male student of class VIII SMP N 9 Padang. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of leg muscle explosive power and agility with a speed of 100 meters male students of class VIII SMPN 9 Padang
This type of research is correlational population is class VIII SMP N 9 Padang amounted to 216 people. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling method totaling 30 students. Data were taken in three ways, vertical jump for leg muscle explosive power, Shutere run test to measure the agility and run speed tests to measure speed of 100 meters. Data were analyzed by using the formula product moment correlation and multiple correlation.
The results showed that: (1) There is a significant relationship between leg muscle explosive power with a speed of 100 meters male students of class VIII SMP N 9 Padang at significant level (α = 0.05). (2) There is a significant relationship between agility at a speed of 100 meters male students of class VIII SMP N 9 Padang, at significant level (α = 0.05). (3) There is a significant relationship together between leg muscle explosive power, speed agility to run 100 meters at a significant level (α = 0.05).
