ANALISA GAYA POTONG MATA PISAU PENGUPAS KULIT JAGUNG
Abstract
The post-harvest process of maize consists of a series of activities that start from picking, drying, stripping, pickling, packing and storage before being sold to collecting merchants. All these processes if not handled properly will reduce the quality of the product due to changes in seed color due to infected fungi, corn decay, mixed with foreign objects that endanger health. The purpose of this research is to know the amount of cutting force of knife in corn stripping process with specification of blade, height 10 mm and width 10 mm. In this study has been done by making angle variations on the blade (0 °, 5 °, 10 °, 15 °, 20 °). The results of this study indicate that a smaller cutting force is obtained at the angle of the blade 20 ° at 13.03 N.Keyword: Knife Eye Shape, Cut Style and Knife Eye Angle.Downloads
