Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the viscosity of the composite and density of the pecan shell powder as filler with particle size 75 <D <100μ by using polyurethane resin as adhesive. This experimental study used a pecan shell powder as reinforced material and polyurethane as resin. In the instrument for research using brookfield viscometer tool. This research has been done by making variation of composition of resin composition and shrimp powder (5%: 95%, 10%: 90%, 15%: 85%). The result of this research shows that the viscosity value of composite is 261.33 mPa.s Keywords: Pecan shell powder, polyurethane resin, viscosity, density, taguchi method.
