SINTESA DAN UJI MOLECULAR SIEVE UNTUK PRODUKSI ETANOL FUEL GRADE

Abstract

One method for purifying water ethanol is by molecular sieve method, which by using zeolite x pellet as adsorbent for purification process. This study aims to make synthetic zeolite X pellet used for purification of ethanol fuel grade and study the effect of NaOH concentration on zeolite X pellet strength and ability to absorb water. The results showed the greater the concentration of NaOH 38% used, the higher the compressive strength of zeolite Xpellet, and it can produce ethanol fuel grade.
