Abstract

Microorganisms in water can remove by Radio Frequency (RF) Plasma System. Radiation of RF plasma can generate the active compounds such as H+, OH-, H2O2, and O3. They have a high oxidation potential and kill the phatogenic microorganisms in water. The objective of this study is to investigate the degradation of microorganisms in sanitation water using a continuous flow radio frequency plasma system. A water sample was collected from Kuranji River in Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The experiments were carried out to see the effect of frequency on the Kinetic of death (kD) of microorganisms.
