Refining activities that produce sugar cane has traditionally been a major source of income in the village Tigo Balai Agam district since hundreds of years ago. Three major flaws were found in the traditional process conducted is a low evaporation resulting in longer production time and requires more fuel. A device that has functions like evaporator which consists of a series of circular aluminum plate for the evaporation process has been studied in a traditional sugarcane distillery in the village of Tigo Balai. The influence of the thickness of aluminum plates that are used to accelerate the ripening process provides 33.33% faster results. And the introduction of an aluminum plate lid provides the dominant contribution to the process of evaporation to 56.67% faster.
