Abstract

ABSTRACT

Pretreatment is done by removing the lignin (delignification) biomass conversion, thus increasing productivity of cellulase enzymes. In this study, the delignification was conducted by soaking for 24 hoursĀ  at room temperature using 5% ammonia solution, 0,1 N NaOH, 1,4% H2SO4 and also in physics. The result showed levels of lignin after-treament was 4,47% (ammonia), 9,27% (0,1 N NaOH), 10,24% (0,01 N H2SO4), 14,24% (without treatment).
