Abstract

Ethanol is an alcohol derived from biological sources. Ethanol is an attractive form of alternative
energy sources to be developed because the raw materials are abundant and can be renewed. There are various
ways to do for users engine gasoline to conserve the use of fuel oil, including the use of substances naphthalene
contained in mothballs that can be mixed directly with gasoline. The study was conducted in laboratory engines
achievement goals, is to obtain a performance ratio of gasoline-fueled gasoline engine with a premium and
premium mixture of naphthalene and etanol. In the performance of the motor fuel research using deer toyota 5k
engine. In this test, using a mixture of fuels such as a premium of 80%, 10% ethanol, and 10% naphthalene,
