Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of ratio of polyester composition as matrix and shredded pecan powder as filler with particle size 250 Up to 500μ on mechanical properties (hardness, impack strength and tensile strength) of composite. This experimental study uses a pecan shell powder as a reinforced material and polyester as a resin. On the instrument to research a universal testing machine, the hardness testing machine. This research has been done by making variation of composition of resin composition and pine shell powder (20%: 80%, 20%: 80%, 30%: 70%). The results of this study indicate that the maximum hardness of the composite is 94.5 HD. The maximum tensile strength is 452.81 N / mm2 and the maximum impack strength is 0.075 N / m
