PERANCANGAN ALAT BANTU PADA PROSES LOADING TRUK SAWIT

Abstract

Loading Trucks is a process of loading the palm fruit into a truck by throwing it through the top of the tailgate. This is a common process in the oil palm agriculture industry and some of the truck loading workers still do it manually. The design of the truck loading aids is necessary to lighten the workload and minimize the risk of worker injury during loading. The weight of TBS  reaching 15-50kg makes the workers at high risk of injury where in REBA calculations 12-14 score is obtained which requires corrective action at this time. The truck loading tool is designed based on the nigel cross method to determine the best design alternative. The loading process uses a design tool that workers incorporate TBS (Tandan Buah Segar) into the container and the tool will put it in the truck After the design of the tool aids, the loading process that had 3 movement activities was reduced to 1 movement activity only, 1 activity of this movement had received a very high level of risk and reduced 2 action level to "medium" in REBA Score 7. It is expected that the design of this tool can ease the loading load of truck workers.
