Abstract

ABSTRACT

Pyrolysis plastic waste is the process of decomposition of organic compounds contained in the plastic through the heating process with little or no oxygen. This study aims to design the pyrolysis tool and test the performance of the pyrolysis tool design and to know the characteristics of the oil produced. This research was conducted by using reactor with diameter 45 cm and height 78 cm. A total of 1000 grams of polypropylene plastic waste is pyrolidized at operating temperature variations of 250 °C, 300 °C, 350 °C and 400 °C and the time for 30 and 60 minutes. The highest result product pyrolysis obtained at 400°C with 60 minutes is 88,86%.
