EVALUASI BULLWHIP EFFECT RANTAI PASOK PADA SISTEM DISTRIBUSI PRODUK MENGGUNAKAN METODE CENTRALIZED DEMAND INFORMATION

Abstract

Constraints that are often encountered in the product distribution system are the bullwhip effect phenomenon which is a distant distortion between existing inventory and demand. This is due to incorrect interpretation of demand data and information systems that are less integrated in each supply chain. This weakness results in excess and lack of product quantities and indirectly also affects the cost of product materials produced by manufacturers. In connection with losses arising from information distortion, it is necessary to evaluate the bullwhip effect on the supply chain and analyze the impact of material costs based on the Centralized Demand Information (CDI) method. This research was conducted on the distribution network of bottled water products, The study was conducted for 240 ml cup products, 380 ml bottles, 600 ml bottles, 1500 ml bottles and 19 liters gallons. The results showed the occurrence of a bullwhip effect on each product sent to retailers. The inventory system after the decline in the bullwhip effect was able to provide a total annual cost savings for the company at Rp. 19.21%.
