PERANCANGAN PENENTUAN LUAS AREA UNTUK MEMINIMASI JARAK PERPINDAHAN MATERIAL PADA LANTAI PRODUKSI (UPTD PENGOLAHAN KULIT)

Abstract

The layout in the production floor area is important or uggent at manufacturing industry. UPTD leather processing is a company that is located on the RPHRT.IX road Silaing Subdistrict in Padang Panjang. The industrial company engaged in the processing of raw leather (cattle) does not have a good layout and the material flow planning does not have optimal work results. The existing layout have long cycle time and the distance is for.This researeh to evaluete and designs area layout  based or SLP procedure. From the results of the study, the available area requirement is 1920 m2, while the area needed for the production area is 595.5 m2. From the calculation of the planned floor area can save the use of the area by 68%. By doing layout design to minimize material displacement distance from 466 m displacement to 141 m, layout design can change material displacement ripple by 69%.
