Abstract

In this study, short circuit current was analyzed at the side of 20 kV. From the results of the analysis obtained the new protection relay settings based on the calculation of the short circuit current settings and compare the results with the existing protection relays. The effort taken to increase the reliability of electric power is to reset the protection relay on each feeder. Based on the analysis of short circuit current for each feeder. The largest short circuit fault current is found in the DPR feeder, for the 3 phase short circuit with 1% fault location, which is 6155.11 Ampere with over current relay setting of 0.3 seconds. The smallest short circuit fault current is found in 1 phase interference with 100% fault location, which is equal to 282.87, with a ground fault relay setting of 0.3 seconds. This is because the DPR's feeder channel is the shortest compared to other feeders, and on the incoming side the relay work time is 0.7 seconds. Keywords: Feeder, Overcurrent Relay, and Ground Faul Relay.
