PERANCANGAN ATS – AMF PADA GENSET STARTER BERBASIS ARDUINO

Abstract

Backup system / backup power supply is absolutely necessary for electronic devices that require uninterrupted electrical energy. The power supply backup is used to replace the main source of PLN. In its application, a supporting device is needed such as Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and AMF (Automatic Main Failure) to switch from the main source to the power supply backup or vice versa and control the generator's life and death. ATS-AMF panels commonly used in industries or offices are very rarely applied to households, besides the price is quite expensive, ATS-AMF with a capacity below 5 KVA for households is very rare and does not even exist yet, with a starter generator rating used 2 KW and the designed ATS-AMF rating has a capacity of 3.5 KVA. In this study, discussed the realization of Arduino-based ATS devices that work based on reading current, voltage, power and power factors that will be displayed on the LCD, Arduino can be equipped with supporting components such as ZMPT101B voltage sensor, ACS712 current sensor, Relay, LCD and other supporting components, with the existence of these supporting components, the safety efficiency of ATS will be better. After testing, ATS devices can measure currents with an average error of 3.88% and 0.05% and voltage measurements with an average error of 0.791% and 0.297% in the measurement of generator sets and PLN sources. Another test, the relay system can function to move the electricity source from the main source to a backup source or vice versa
