Abstract

Community needs for electricity nowadays are getting higher. This is often with population growth and also technological progress. One of the technological efforts to utilize solar energy is to use solar cells. Solar cell is a device that can convert sunlight energy into electrical energy. Solar cell will produce electrical energy according to the intensity of light received from the emission of sunlight. But in its application most solar cells are placed statically so that the absorption of sunlight intensity cannot be carried out optimally and the resulting power is not maximum. The ability of the single axis solal cell tracker to follow the sun, and the position of the solar cell tracker is always perpendicular to the sun during data processing, causing the voltage, current and power generated from the solar cell tracker to be greater than that produced using static solar cells even during the day. The increasing percentage of electrical power generated from the solar cell tracker occurred a peak of power increase which was around 166.66% at 16:00 wib compared to a static solar cell. Power optimization generated by solar tracker is far greater than static solar cell, so that the energy utilization of solar cell tracker is much more efficient. So that this tool can be applied and can help the government in an effort to overcome energy problems, especially optimization of natural energy.Keywords: Design, Solar Tracking System, Arduino, Fuzzy Logic
