Abstract

Smart trash cans using the Arduino Mega control are ideas for our own cleanliness and the environment around ultrasonic sensors. ultrasonic sensors and phototransistor sensors, where ultrasonic sensors operate as motion detectors in the use of this smart trash can. When an ultrasonic sensor moves on this device. Then the ultrasonic sensor will be active, which is the ultrasonic sensor. The ultrasonic sensor is used as a detector for users who will throw garbage into the barrel, the distance detection specified in the program <= 30cm, from the distance detection if the sensor detects the distance <= 30cm then the ultrasonic senor will inform Arduino. While the ultrasonic sensor on this device operates as a detectors of obstruction (humans) are opened to open the trash lid with a distance of <30cm if the distance of the barrier (human) given is more than 30cm then this sensor will not be able to detect. While the phototransistor sensor detects full garbage, the phototransistor sensor will send a signal to the Arduino transistor photo sensor (1-5) on pins A0 to A4 pins to detect black lines as tracks that will be followed by trash cans to landfills (TPA) . On the phototransistor sensor (7) on pin A6 serves as a detector for trash cans that have reached its original location or have been in their original position after a garbage disposal at TPA. After the garbage disposal process at TPA, the garbage can will move back to its initial position.
