Abstract

Power transformer is a very vital equipment that functions to deliver electrical power from high voltage to low voltage or vice versa and never escape interference. The interference that occurs in the transformer can hinder the process of channeling electrical energy to consumers. The acceleration of the development of an area such as the Padang Pariaman area can be illustrated by the increase in the use of electrical energy in the area. The transformer at the Lubuk Alung Substation 150 KV with a capacity of 50 MVA is one of the main equipment in the electric power system. Load forecasting in this study takes the daily peak load data for five years. Estimated growth of transformer average load in the next ten years is still feasible or capable of serving load requirements based on its tolerance tolerance standard, which is 80%. Based on the calculation results using measurement data with linear regression method, it is known that there is an increase loading on a power transformer periodically. So as well, to be able to improve conditions like this, PT. PLN (Persero) has tried to add power transformers or divide the load to other substations to be able to send electricity systems in an efficient and safe way to customers or consumers.
